I am not good at troubleshooting WMI...

when i run the query (either in scom or manually with fx wbemtest) i get an error telling me the query is invalid.

If i remove WITHIN the query runs, but results are 0

Greetings,

Excellent post. It fixed the problem I was having.

One question though, I have a CreateTime field that I want to catch in the event description.

This works:

Time Raised: $Data/EventData/DataItem/Property[@Name="CreationTime"]$

The problem is the value returned is not a date/time format. Can I apply mathimatical functions to this? i.e. is there a way to get the output in a date/time format?

The output of the parameter above is Time Raised: 129307702560000000

Hello. This is an excellent post. I implemented this in SCOM 2007 R2 and it worked a few days then the command notification quit firing. Nothing shows up in the OpsMgr logs so I have no idea what broke or why. Have you tried using this with SCOM R2? Are any modifications required for this updated SCOM environment? Please advise.
