The reason I don't is because you would have to go through disaster recovery if the upgrade fails.&lt;/p&gt;

One thing I don't like at ALL is that when you schedule the update cycle on the server, the client does not reflect the schedule on the Updates tab. I found that (if an admin on the box) you can change / override when the updates take place. It would be great if you could make that unchangable by any end user. I'm in agreement that software Updates rock in CM 2007. Add in the maintenance windows on the collections and you have some powerful resources at your fingertips. All this will be fully shown in the SCCCM Level 5 Guide. I can't wait to show it.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have been looking at the registry to make more tools like the ones I and many others made for SMS 2003. I will take a look at this the next time I have the lab running.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Even if CM wizards had a check box to not show the welcome page, it never worked for me anyway in previous versions. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The policy for connecting secondary sites to a primary site cross forest had not changed in configmgr 2007. So, the answer is no, this is not a supported configuration. If the customers install a primary site than it would be a supported config.&lt;/p&gt;

All of his customers have separate AD forests on separate VLANs. Will SCCM allow for secondary sites only on each of the AD forests thereby allowing for the management AD forest (and its Central Site) to manage the downstream customers and their downstream resources?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I ran it w/o disconnecting the schema master. It ran OK, the log confirms that and if run again it says "already exists" in the log. I still have trouble autodiscovering MP. How can I check to ne SURE that schema extension was correct? I see the System Management in AD and it has entries.
