Microsoft Launches Windows Server 2008 HPC September 22

The September 22 date will be the official launch of Windows Server 2008 HPC, which will take place at the conference "High Performance on Wall Street in New York. HPC means High Performance Computing and High Performance Computing in French.
HPC Windows Server 2008 and the successor to Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003. Windows Server 2008 HPC inclût different characteristics vantées by Microsoft during the past year:
-- Broadband Network
-- Tools to manage clusters evolving
-- Resumed advanced functions (failover)
-- A Task Scheduler based on a service-oriented architecture
-- Supports Filesystems cluster partners

 

Microsoft has launched the Beta 1 of Windows Server 2008 HPC in November 2007. In June 2008, is a quasi-finalized version (version release candidate 1, or RC1), which was launched by Microsoft.
The biggest competitor of Microsoft in the field of high performance calculations is Linux. The research organizations and companies on Wall Street are part of the biggest users of technology HPC.
