Windows HPC Server 2008 is available starting today. It is the
successor to Windows Computer Cluster Server 2003 and relies on
operating system Windows Server 2008 cluster configured. Windows HPC
Server 2008 can be deployed on a large scale for this, it includes a
new planner, a node from the Windows Deployment Services, an interface
for the exchange of messages very quickly that includes support for
Direct Network And a new administration interface.
Windows
HPC Server 2008 works with other Microsoft products to increase
productivity HPC and improve the overall experience of the user. Thus,
cooperation is strengthened through Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
and Windows Workflow Foundation. The administration is simplified and
more efficient through integration in Microsoft System Center
solutions. Via its compatibility with WCF (Windows Communication
Foundation), Windows HPC Server 2008 enables developers to develop SOA
(SOA) to harness the power of parallel computing.
With this new version, Microsoft hopes to gain market share in a key sector of large enterprises.
