Microsoft to Acquire Whale Communications

Microsoft Thursday announced a move to acquire Whale Communications, a Leading Provider of SSL VPN and Application Security Technologies. Among other things, Whale Communications makes a appliance that provides secure access via "intelligent application optimizers" to Outlook Web Access, SharePoint and SAP portals among others. They also feature other appliances for SSL VPNs. It is thought this technology will be used to strengthen future generations of ISA Server and Windows networking components.
