Recatalog an Expired Tape

By default you cannot recover the data from an expired tape.  That is the reason Recatalog imported tape option is disabled in DPM Admin console.   If you want recatalog the tape, you can try the following work around:

·         From Library Management, Select the Tape and mark the tape as Free

·         Select the tape again Unmark tape as Free

·         This will enable the Recatalog imported tape option

·         Now you should be able to recatalog the tape and recover the data
