Off Topic (again): Gary Vaynerchuk is Crazy
And I mean that in the most positive and complimentary way, honestly. Gary Vaynerchuk is the host of the Wine Library TV podcast. You can watch it on the web, or on your iPod, iPhone or AppleTV through iTunes also.
If you're not aware of Wine Library TV, you need to check it out. Forget having to "like" drinking wine. Forget having to know about wine. I'm not even talking about that (even though I'm drinking a hefty glass of German Riesling right now, oops).
No, my friends, what I'm really talking about is what Gary would refer to as "Passion" for his show and his discussion topics. If you watch just one or two episodes you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
Imagine this for just a second, please...
What if Gary produced video guides on software and computer technology stuff? Man, that would be interesting to watch. I'd be jumping out of my chair even if he was talking about .NET Remoting (snore, zzzzzz). That's what's missing from tech podcasts and tech media shows in general: passion. The problem isn't that geeks aren't passionate about tech stuff. It's that the ones chosen to do podcasts and so forth are either too cheesy to watch (but energetic) or darn clever, but not very interesting to watch/listen to.
Thank God for this guy. We need more of him in our world to make things interesting. Boring is something anyone can do. Fun and interesting is getting to be rare these days. Check it out if you have a moment. It's a lot of fun.
