 i am looking for a tool(or a script) that checks an predifined ou for the computers in it,pings the computers and uses the ipaddress to place the computer in its ou.

f.i.,it checks the computer ou; it finds 2 pc's; pc01 and pc02. It pings pc01; ip 192.168.10.01; ip 192.168.10.c belongs to the office 1 ou and pc01 gets transfered to the office 1 ou.

does something like that exist?

you should be able to script somthing like that, WSH powerful toool!

There is a partial script on my blogcast that will find a PC or group of pc's in AD and then move it to a specific OU, to ping on top of that isnt such a big deal
