Great general overview of the look and feel and all the new features with SMS V4.

Another great Blogcast... V4 is way cool. Do you know if there has been anything done for improve SMS uptime? for example, cluster support? I've never had a problem with a site server but I keep thinking that there might be a single point of failure in my environment if I lost a primary site.

Let me see what I can find out this week at MMS and I will let you know. I spent the day learning about V4 and R2.... there is going to be some awsome new features.. This blogcast is missing so much more than I have found out today.... looks like we will have to learn SMS all over again......

Today Microsoft annonced the new name for SMS V4 will be System Center Configuration Manager 2007 or SCCM...

Looks like your going to have to change the name of this section or create a new one :P

Cool cast...I'm actually a little disappointed in what you did show with the software updates. I remember Wally Mead talking about how the dialog boxes for SMS 2003 were too small and that required an overhaul, but it doesn't look like it made it in 2007. The NAP and OSD stuff looks interesting as does the improvements to Software updates Right now I'd like to know more about NAP and OSD to really say whether it's going to be worthwhile to move to 2007 when it's available...or V4...whatever you want to call it.

Brian, great overview of the features of v4. And, as always, thanks for supporting the community with these efforts. One point of feedback... please, for the love of humanity, drop the phrase "very cool stuff" from your blogcasts. I must have heard that a couple dozen times during this presentation and it became a distracting annoyance to those features which *I* should be saying "very cool". Just a little feedback. Take care!
