The above post is correct, but why not upgrade all of SMS to SP3? I see a lot of people on old service packs. There are a lot of nice enhancements and fixes with SP3.

yes .... you should go for ITMU revision 3... no need to go for upgrade to SP3....u can run ITMU v3 with SMS SP2 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sms/bb676783.aspx

You don't have to remove the applicaiton from the clients. Clean the servers and DP's.. Install R3 ITMU and advertise the scan tool expedited to your clients. Have them run it from the DP.

I might suggest that you remove the ITMU programs from the DP's. Ininstall the ITMU. Verify the packages for the ITMU are gone in SMS and the source directories. Reinstall the ITMU, sync the server and then push out the scan tool expedited again. Have the clients run from the DP rather than the cache...

No problem.. You can't just update the ITMU.. There are other steps to follow. 1. Delete the old advertisement for the daily scan on clients and make a new one. 2.
