Go to general option ... u will find "after running" option over there and select "SMS restarts computer .... create a pkg through MSI defination for SAV 10.1.... go to program " per system installation" or "per User installation" ... which is applicable to ur environment...

    Hi, Want to know bout MIF file. I have created one SMS pkg(MSI) from defination. Its showing "Msiexec.exe " in the command line. When i m making other SMS pkg from defination from same source file (MSI) the filename of .mif file name is changing. Can any one tell me mif file name caretion...

    yes... right... but when i m trying to add a .msi pkg as from defination of file it gives me error. " not vailid defination file" :(. So that i have asked can we diretly used abcd.msi /q in the command line. rather than using msiexec.exe

    Hey....I see all of my software updates. I create a package. Now how can i tell if they all went through....what logs can i check..Hopefully someone can help with this..by the way once i send the updates to my advance client, they are not going through..plz help. thanks

    You can take the .exe and run a /? after the exe name in a command prompt. If it has switches, it should list them. Hopefully there is an uninstall switch. .MSI's are much easier just for this reason. If there is an uninstall switch, just create a new program in that package with the command line......
