    If you can connect with the console, your account must be in the LOCAL SMS Admins group on the SMS server. That gains you access to SQL.     Being a Domain Admin makes no difference to SMS. You need to add your account to the local SMS Admin group on the SMS server. That group allows / grants access to the SMS DB. after that, you need to add yourself as an admin to SMS in the SMS console. Just login / connect with the account you installed...

    Try adding just one account by itself to the local SMS Admin group. Adding to that group will only allow you to CONNECT to the SQL server. You then have to go into SMS under Security and add the user or group to the permissions you want. So, if you already have an admin account in there. Which you have...
